UPDATE: Crash at Harbor/Spokane

10:14 PM: Complicating the post-SPF30 outbound traffic from Alki, there’s a crash at Harbor and Spokane. We don’t know details but SDOT says it’s blocking southbound lanes.

10:23 PN: Just added a framegrab from the SDOT traffic camera at that intersection. SDOT now says “westbound” lanes are blocked – toward Alki rather than away from it.

11:26 PM: SDOT says all lanes are clear.

A SPD car was involved in the collision.

Thanks, hadn’t heard that. No medic unit dispatched so apparently no one involved was seriously hurt.

We just went by on a. C, and it was a *lot* more crowded than the  traffic camera shot: five or more police cars, a fire truck, a lot of police motorcycles and maybe bikes . . . It looked like the silver car had been hit by a police car.

The crash is actually blocking the right hand southbound lane of Harbor at Spokane St.  haven’t heard any details about injuries (Seattle Fire did get sent to the scene but cleared shortly after). SPD is doing traffic control to help move the folks heading home from the event.

It probably has to do with that cone and thing that protrudes out into the street that they have been working on?  It seems like it is taking them a very long time to fix that corner where all the cones and stuff have been for the past two months.  Hope everyone is OK?

So what happened? What caused this?

Sorry, comment time is over.
