Thanks for all the texted tips about this. We have just arrived in the 10200 block of 28th SW, which is blocked because of a multi-agency response for a house fire. Here’s a photo from Jim Edwards:
1:07 PM UPDATE: The incident commander tells us they don’t believe anyone was at the home when the fire started. The cause is under investigation.
We live a block away. Enormous response from various agencies. Smoke pouring out of the house but didn’t see any flames from where everyone is watching on east side of 28th SW. Now we can hear the twp-stroke engones of chain saws blaring. A paramedic van is now on site. Hope there are no injuries.
Incident commander told us no injuries. They did say flames were visible inside the house when they arrived.
There were flames shooting out initially…. and 5 units responded in all, including a lot of support and rehab vehicles.
