9:39 PM: A big Seattle Fire “heavy rescue” is headed to the 8800 block of 41st SW in Fauntlee Hills (map), for a report of a “car on its side with people trapped.” More shortly.

9:58 PM: Photo added. Most SFD units were canceled shortly after dispatch but others remain, with police.

10:07 PM: 41st SW is blocked by the crash scene, which is on a residential street. We are told the man driving the car was the only person in it; he will be going to a hospital by private ambulance to be checked out. He hit a parked car, police tell us.

Hope everyone will be ok. A few engines just passed by.

I just saw a few police cars driving by the bottom of my hill, I hope everybody is alright. :(

The driver was alert and conscious, and the decision to transport by private ambulance rather than SFD medic unit generally means no life-threatening injuries.

how do you flip a car on a street like that i thought the speed limit was 20mph

We’ve had this discussion in almost every comment thread following a flipped-car report. Speed is not necessarily the cause of something like this. The car more often “trips” on something – perhaps, another car. As shown in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg7hKs6bKTA

I rolled my VW Bug in Sealth parking lot in ’73 so anything’s possible.

I am happy the person is OK but like I’ve mentioned before …WS has these huge magnets under some of their streets and this must be one of them!

Sorry, comment time is over.
