No, it’s not an April Fool’s joke

You might have noticed that the temperature display in the WSB header has been insisting it’s zero degrees this morning. Might seem like a great April Fool’s joke … except it’s not; just a malfunction, first one for this feature since we added it in the January overhaul, and we’re troubleshooting it. Meantime, if you click the time/temp spot, you’ll get to the WSB West Seattle Weather page, which DOES have the accurate temperature (mid-to-upper 50s at last check). Sorry!

Since you’ve mentioned the malfunction topic, I can’t use the search box.

I can type in it, but I can’t get it to ‘click’ and do a search.

Oldtimer – hit “return”/”enter” after you type in the box, and that activates it. The magnifying glass is inert. Hope to eventually fix that, or remove it. Sorry! I still haven’t written the “how things work” guide that would include that flaw … TR

Glad to know that it’s just a malfunction. I hadn’t even thought of the possibility of it being an April Fool’s joke, but when I logged onto the Forums a few minutes ago and seeing that, I felt like a fool for  having just been outdoors for the better part of three hours  in short sleeves and without a jacket, then coming home and opening all the windows, when it appeared that I should have been bundled up, then come home and cranked the heat way up!

If you wait long enough, it will be at least half right. The  0 comes after the 7.   Like the broken clock. It’s correct twice a day.

I apologize, haven’t been able to fix it OR take it down …

And here I was wishing that were truly the temperature tonight. I miss the snow. (Okay, hate mail can be remitted to me now.)

Sorry, comment time is over.
