An interesting item forwarded on the mailing list for the North Delridge Neighborhood Council (one of the neighborhood groups having a big sale on West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day next Saturday, by the way):

Your editor here is a total Blue Angels geek so we’ll be pretty much camped out at MofF those days. Last year we only had a still camera; this year we’re video-equipped so watch out…

My first thought was…WSB must be in heaven…all those jets…lol…

The condo I lived in before here was on the hill across the river from MofF. I do miss the front row seat of those shows. The blue angels often used our roof as a gathering place before they swooped around to Lk. Wash in their Delta formation.

Hah! As if we can even hear any jet noise over the deafening moan of all those train horns.

Hopefully I’ll be able to tear my attention away from the non-stop news reports about peak oil and families who have to decide between paying the doctor and $5/gallon gas in order to watch my tax dollars hard at work on those neato tricks in the sky.

    JW-

Maybe you should broaden your news sources.

Bring on the sound of Freedom!

There is another viewpoint from up at Westcrest Park. The view from around the reservoir is very decent Blue Angels viewing because it is SO expansive. If there is no cloud cover, of course, one can see most of the manuevers.

Actually, the Shy Dog Area of the adjacent Dog Park shares the same view. I’ve seen people line up in chairs in the upper dog park to watch ’em practice!

My dad was a WWII pilot. I respect and enjoy the skills of the Blue Angels.

Sorry, comment time is over.
