CANINE: That’s Mo the poison (and hurricane) survivor at his party at Beveridge Place Pub tonight (backstory here), posing with one of the baskets donated for a fundraising raffle.

COOKIES: West Seattle Girl Scouts announce … they’re here:

Here’s the official GS announcement on where and when you’ll be able to buy them:

Girl Scout cookies arrived in West Seattle on Saturday and the girls will be out soon delivering cookies to those who pre-ordered in January.

You can also find girls selling cookies at the following locations during the evenings and weekends from Feb 29th – Mar 16th:

Bank of America – Westwood
Blockbuster – Admiral
Easy Street Records
Hollywood Video – Westwood
Husky Delicatessen
Key Bank – Junction
Metropolitan Market
QFC – Westwood
Safeway – Admiral
Safeway – Jefferson Square
Thriftway
Walgreens – Roxbury

Since the 1920’s, Girl Scouts have sold cookies as a way to raise money for troop activities. The cookie program teaches girls valuable life skills, such as how to set and work towards goals, meet and greet people, and the importance of following through on a promise to deliver a product. The cookie program generates approximately 50% of the Girl Scouts of Western Washington’s operating revenue and a significant portion of troop funds.

Yes, a HUGE thanks to everyone who participated in Mo’s “FUN”draiser, fellow dog lovers, community members and local businesses!! It was so much fun, and a huge success! We were able to raise approximately $300 for Pasado Safe Haven!

What a fantastic community we live in!
