Here’s an alarming tale that reportedly unfolded at “a” Starbucks (who knows which one, considering there are three) at Westwood Village. As of right this moment, the King County jail roster lookup shows the guy’s still in jail.

Can anyone tell me what (presumably) Big 5 is doing selling SKS semi-automatic rifles with bayonet attachments anyway? And within spitting distance of Denny and Sealth to boot?

I actually hunted with an SKS for a time, it is a great gun.

Why is there such a stigma towards so-called “assult rifles”? Nickels wants them banned – how many of Seattle’s recent murders were committed with assult rifles (or guns obtained through the “gun show loophole”)?

It’s all window dressing plain and simple. People Kill People. Guns do not.

I see your point, Eric; my comment wasn’t related to gun control or politics though. I guess it’s the word “assault” – I probably wouldn’t have had the same reaction if they said it was a hunting rifle. If this guy was planning to go nab an elk then I owe him an apology.
