This place is awesome! Get the reuben; you won’t be disappointed. Great atmosphere. Great food.

Great selection of beer on tap, full bar, try the salmon ‘n chips. Servers wear mini kilts!(well, the women servers do…). Also an adjoining market where you can buy Irish food and such.

Have enjoyed everything I have had to eat here so far! Service has been lackluster with the exception of when a gentleman named Matthew waited on us. And please, get rid of the school girl skirts.

I really want to like this place, but I have heard so much about how noisy it is – how you have to shout to hear your dinner companion – that I’ve been afraid to try it. Any comments on this? Please be kind.

I like to come in for weekend brunch – big portions, lots of fresh fruit on the side, and the house scones are awesome!

We tried this place out the first week it opened, so it was busy (as expected). We were in no rush and were there to enjoy each others’ company. Since the kitchen was running behind and getting adjusted to the process of business (also expected) they comped us some really great salt and vinegar chips that were homemade, which was a nice touch. I had good food, but would agree that it was pretty noisy, especially with the live music. Overall a good time and meal though.

Good food every time. Good beer selection.
Friendly people too.
They also have a place in Renton

The atmosphere and service were fine for us (we didn’t find it all that loud.) But the food was bland and standard at best. We won’t be back.

Have been there twice. WAY TOO NOISY!!!! Will not be going back. The second night I was there, there wasn’t suppose to be music and there was. talking is not the problem. The music is the problem

Incredibly mediocre. I actually liked the music quite a bit when I was in and the volume was perfect (and I hate loud places). The food was just OK and the whole vibe was way to cheesy. I don’t know how they can compete with their neighbors, but they’re always packed so I guess the place works for some people.

Poor service. loud drunk idiots echo from wall to wall. Food is good. no ketchup on the table not once asked if we needed anything. just bad service.

I have a neighbor and a good friend who enjoy A Terrible Beauty …but this place infuriates me.
#1: Uniformed staff is the antithesis of West Seattle.
#2: The three times I’ve eaten there the food has been perfectly bland. Each time the potatoes were not only soggy but also unpleasant tasting. No excuse in a so-called Irish pub to loose your marbles on potatoes.
#3: It’s the Holy Land Experience Theme Park equivalent to an Irish pub.
I hope A Terrible Beauty doesn’t break the curse of the corner.

I love everything about the place accept the food. :( . They worked so hard on the look and feel of this pub I would love to see some food quality improvement. When they did a soft opening for during the summer fest that year they were serving limited but much better food but maybe that cook is at their other location, don’t know. Went 3 times since it opened hoping for improvement but no. Lots of good beer and atmosphere though if that’s all your looking for.

Music, both live and unlive, is too loud. Food was okay and I’d like to go again, but can’t take the assault on my ears. Good veg sandwich and hard cider.
Comment by Julia — 11:38 pm March 25, 2013 #
Would like it if something calling itself an Irish pub actually had Irish food. Most of the menu is stuff I can get at any bar.

I feel like this place has gone down hill fast and I directly relate it to them opening up their South Lake Union spot. Came in here late night for some grub and found out their kitchen was closed. Other nights have come in for Happy Hour and the food has been inedible. I use to be a huge fan of this place and hope they turn it around. Don’t let the curse of the corner rule!
