SATURDAY UPDATE: See comment section – “Zuki” is back home! Removing contact info as per our policy but leaving his photo since so many were helping.
He was last seen 10:30 am on 9/20/16 running into the northeast end of Lincoln Park. Please keep an eye out in that area.
Zuki was spotted this morning by several people around 7:00 am. He was seen running between the tennis courts and p patch near Fauntleroy and othello. 2 people saw him running east on Austin up the hill.
Please keep looking he’s in that area somewhere. Not too far from home!
Zuki is still missing. He has been spotted in the neighborhoods right around Lincoln Park. If you see him do not chase or call him he will run. Please call me at 2068508799.
attached is a map were he has been seen green pins were sightings on 9/20 and purple pins were on 9/22
Zuki was seeing this morning 9/23 around 7am running up the thistle st stairs.
Thanks for the updates. This is a very unusual case and since we don’t have many other current lost-pet reports working, I’ve moved it back up the page. We live relatively near the top of those stairs so we’ll be watching out for him too.
I just saw the dog running down to 49th Ave., Southwest I was at the intersection of Raymond and the dog was headed north running on the sidewalk
I am meant to type the dog is on 49th Ave., Southwest headed north.
Please call the # in the listing if you haven’t already, to let them know! (Anyone with a sighting, please be sure to contact Zuki’s owner – it’s good to comment here too for the record but if you call them immediately first, they can go right to wherever you saw him.)
Yes I called the owner right after my post. Sorry I didn’t notice their number first.
ZUKI IS HOME!!!!
Thank you to everyone in the West Seattle community!!!! We literally could not have brought him home without you!!! We are forever grateful to friends, neighbors and strangers that have looked, called and supported us in so many ways I can’t even begin to mention!!! We will not be able to repay you West Seattle thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!
I am thrilled to hear that Zuki is safely back at home! As a dog owner myself, I have agonized for Zuki’s owners ever since I learned of his disappearance.
I had a similar experience several years ago. A local woman who was on vacation in California actually called to check on my progress. In fact her daughter helped me recover my dog. This is one amazing community.
I’m so glad Zuki is home! My husband and I were out garage saling yesterday and saw your signs, and were watching for him (we have a Shiba who is almost 14 1/2 who we love, love dearly!). Today is my birthday and when I saw there’d been a sighting of Zuki this morning my birthday wish became that he would get home today. I’m so happy it happened I have tears in my eyes! And it’s already a great birthday :) Thanks for letting everyone know, and I’ll be watching the lost/found pet ads more closely from here on out.
Now what was that little rascal up to on his adventure….if he could only talk!!!
I’m glad he made it home. :>)
I am so glad he made it home.. i have always been thankful to the woman who captured and brought my shibas home when they bolted out an opened gate the week we moved to Seattle… they are definately escape artists…
Zuki is sleeping recovering from his adventures. Vet check up was just fine. Thank you again everyone we couldn’t have done it without you.
