This handsome fella stopped by our place on 34th bt Andover and Charleston on Tuesday. He seems healthy and loved – I wondered why he had no collar. Is he chipped?

We are on 33rd and this kitty has visited us quite a few times in the last week, including this afternoon.  We have fed he/she and put out shelter just in case for the cold weather. If he/she comes back again this week we will take them to a vet to be scanned for a chip.

Showed up at 33rd and Charlestown SW. Sweet and super friendly. It ran in the house and didn’t care about my other cats. I fed it and was very hungry. It’s back outside again. Now that I know that it seems to be lost, I’ll try to get it to the vet to scan for a chip as well.

Hello!!  That is my neighbors cat, he wanders around to all the houses. He usually has a collar on, but i recognize his freckle.  If his tail is a little bit on the stub side, that’s definitely my neighbors cat.

This is Grapefruit. Someone caught him and had his chip checked. He does live at 33rd & Andover, so mystery definitely solved. He’s not a lost cat, just a neighborhood friendly who roams the Hood.

This is our cat Mac, he lives with us on 33rd SW between Andover and Charleston.   Grapefruit was his name at the Humane Society, so it looks like that part of his chip was not updated.   We can’t keep a collar on him for more than a couple days without it getting lost, I think that is part of his MO to get free meals.   Obviously he is very friendly and a huge mooch, we are trying to keep him in more as he has gained way too much weight from his wanderings.    He has a companion, Chip, at home to keep him company.   Nice to know he is keeping good company and to see the pictures of Mac at people’s back doors, he does that to our direct neighbor all the time.   Mac is a ferocious killer of rats in the neighborhood, we often have to check his mouth at the door when he comes in.   He is well fed, neutered and up on his shots.   Mac is very friendly but does not always like his hips or rear end petted, he will let you know that in due time. Thanks for caring about Mac, we are working to reign him in.John and DianeSorry if the photos come in upside down, can’t seem to fix that.

As Mac’s next door neighbors and occasional baby sitters we can also attest to his friendliness and that he’s got a great home. So funny to see so many pictures of him visiting back doors just like ours.
