West Seattle Property Managers – Any Experience with These?

I’ve found three property management firms which seem to be local to West Seattle.

If anyone has any personal knowledge of these folks either as a renter or as an in-town/out-of-town property owner, within the last three years, I would appreciate any feedback.

Demaree Services, Inc.

Landlord Management, Inc.

Associates West Real Estate.

I rented from Landlord Management for 4 1/2 years. They were pretty hands off, but I suspect that might have had something to do with the owner of the building not wanting to spend any money and so their hands were tied. When I had a major plumbing catastrophe, I was out of a toilet for 3 days. When my house was broken into, I had plywood on my broken window for 4 weeks. When my fridge broke, they replaced it with another, used, nasty fridge. Also, the house was not clean when I moved in, and there was still a lot of the former tenant’s property lying on the floor and in the shed.

When we first moved here, we were using Randall Berg and Associates (on California). I realize that isn’t one that you listed, but Randall was really good.

Our water heater started leaking (majorly) on Christmas Eve and even though we absolutely hated to bother him, he had someone here that night to take care of it.

He’s really fair and just real. We liked him.
