What about having one at Hotwire or C&P Coffee? Or Skylark?

charla – Have you already contacted Admiral? I was going to shoot Eric a text. Let me know if it’s not necessary. See you later today! Btw, what kind of board games are we talking about here?

Celeste–I was lucky to get a piece of that key lime pie–good and tart, the way a key lime pie should be!

How about Freshy’s? I understand that missaudreyhorne is a frequent patron there, according to her mother…;)

NR — I haven’t contacted Eric — go for it (or we can surprise him). The other places sound like great ideas — does everyone have the PDF file to print? (I carry extras, done in color, with me…that explains my car.) :-)

and EVERY kind of board game imaginable. We didn’t find scrabble but I’m sure it’s there.

I suggest anyone who knows/thinks of a place (1) get a jar (B) get or print a poster (c) put it up and (IV) go for it. We can collect the money every day or so — is that how it usually works? W don’t want the venues to think we think they thieves — but we also don’t want to leave money sitting around :-)

See you-all when we see you.

missaudreyhorne sadly is not really a frequent customer at Freshy’s…she used to hang out there when she was in highschool, and it had another name. And she hung out there because she was enamored of the guy who worked there – lol…not because of the coffee :)

Has anyone thought of Husky’s for a location for a jar? I know that there have been jars there for other people. Or could be he would have an extra jar. Gina glad you had a chance to have a piece of pie. We managed to eat two of the pies yesterday.

VelvetBD, could you email a copy of the pdf to my gmail address? charlarma at gmail dot com. I forgot to copy it from my laptop.

    Thanks!

Note to all: there is now a donation jar at the BPP.

Nice to see you Charla, Bob and Jan…and great to meet you in person, JT!

BTW, the rules for X-rated Scrabble are simple: 50 bonus points for the nastiest word. ;) My friend Will and I play at least once a month.

The c and b had a great time seeing everyone again and meeting everyone for the first time (and, of course, getting to know Lulu, the fiercest little dog in the world.)

The jar is up in BPP and will be up in the Admiral Pub; posters will appear in random other places. Meantime, don’t forget you can make an online donation at:

This really is a community! Break a leg, Jan — no, not that, but whatever else means good luck. :-)

Would someone send the pdf file of the poster to bob at robertsshields dot com? For some reason, I’m having trouble accessing binaries from my alternative mail reader. Oh crap, now you know our names — if anything happens to me, House did it :-)

I just wanted to say thanks again for all of your rallying. I’ve been so busy and feeling guilty for not doing more after seeing the amazing response from you guys. You are true friends, and I feel like this community is a family.

If you see this, and you want to do the food thing at some point – send me an email as I am not sure if I’m going to get everyone’s contact info from my mom before tomorrow (lots of stuff going on). My email is mlle.audreyhorne at gmail dot com.

If you have the desire to drop of frozen items for later use, Wednesday is a good evening to do so. I live next door to my mom, if you know where that is!

funny how one can’t sleep before something like this. It’s 3:40am, and my ride will be here at 5am to whisk me off to hospital heaven. I thought I’d drop by here one last time to say…thank you, thank you, thank you….and WSMom…I can’t wait for soup…it’s soooo yummy.

Thanks to Charlabob’s laptop, I will report in, drugged stupor and all. Does everyone want a blow by blow description? Did I mention that it won’t ge a general anesthesia? lol…it will definitely be exciting…

JT…I may need those brownies sooner than you think ;-)

    OK…gonna go pretend to rest a little…

it really is nice to be part of a community like this…and karma is a good thing…and you all have really really good karma coming your way :)

Given your energy and enthusiasm now, I can only imagine a dynamic Jan, operating on two good legs. Makes me tired to contemplate –think I’ll go take a nap :-)

Damn, I would have given you a mini cam if I’d remember you’re going to be awake. We’ll have to settle for blow-by-blow; at least you’ll get to select the music to cut by.

    #624288

Shoot, I wish I’d gotten here earlier – I would have suggested marking an “X” with a Sharpie on the correct hip… Feel better soon!!
