TraciMemberIs there a local vet that treats wild animals?
I have an injured pigeon in a box in my bathroom and think a visit to the vet is in order. I don’t care if pigeons are mangy, this little guy is a fighter!!!

TraciMemberWow. This place is incredible, thank you so much! I’m going to call them tomorrow and see if I can take the pigeon directly there and talk about becoming a volunteer.

HMC RichParticipantAlso PAWS Lynnwood. I have taken animals to that place and the one in Renton listed in the other posts. I hate to see creatures hurt.

furryfacesParticipantDO NOT take the pigeon to PAWS Wildlife Center in Lynnwood. If the pigeon cannot be rehab’d and released to the wild, PAWS will kill it.
I found this out the hard way when we took an injuried bird there. AFTER we donated money for its care and relinquished the bird, the PAWS officer told us if the bird would not be able fly again/released, they would kill it (euthanize). We were stunned and asked for the bird back so we could take it someplace like Sarvey or other sanctuary. No luck and yes….PAWS ended up killing the bird.

BBGuestMemberThis is a site I found that looks good West Sound Wildlife Shelter. http://www.westsoundwildlife.org. I do not have any experience with them, but it could be a resource to explore.
