I think we’ve finally found the solution to the morning and evening traffic jams around California and Admiral — don’t experiment with synchronizing the lights — just turn them off!
When we learned (from WSB of course) that the power was off and the traffic lights weren’t working, we left for work early, expecting the usual “dance of the indecisives.” Instead, absolutely nothing resembling the usual morning mess — drivers stopped, waited their turn, and went.
It’s almost as if we suddenly learned queuing theory. :-)
