Is there a place in west seattle where I can scan a few 20 page documents? Something like a kinkos?

You might want to check with the UPS Store in Jefferson Square, or Staples in Westwood Village to see if they can do that. The nearest Fedex Office (formerly Kinko’s) is either Corson/Michigan or S. Jackson, I believe. Another in Tukwila.

If it is copyrighted they might not want to do it

If its self serve they will let you copy/scan what you want, but as policy they won’t make copies if you do not have the authors permission. They used to have a 10 page limit, not sure if that still holds (Kinkos). Most newer digital copiers will also allow you to copy to a disk instead of paper. You can also borrow my scanner, but its sloooooow

Alki Mail & Dispatch (47th & Admiral) offers this as a service. From experience, they’ll offer to either put it on a memory card/usb stick or directly email it to you.
