Residential Services Program Supervisor

Aacres WA has an immediate opening for a Program Supervisor to work with our clients living throughout the Seattle area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to maintain responsibility for agency administration, oversight, and fiscal operation of services in the community. The Program Supervisor will provide leadership and management over services to ensure that our Mission and Values are carried out on a consistent basis. The Program Supervisor participates as the team leader and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the homes or facilities assigned, supervises the Direct Support Professional staff, and oversees the completion of each individual’s plan of care and treatment. Service provision focuses on maintaining or enhancing the person we support’s self-esteem, promoting power, choice and autonomy, and teaching functional skills that are alternatives to maladaptive behavior.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. High School Diploma or GED, college degree in the areas of rehabilitation, psychology, special education, social work, or a related field (preferred), or a minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

2. One year demonstrated ability to effectively supervise staff in maintaining quality services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages 20 or more employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, budgeting, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
