Would any of the Republicans on these forums be willing to share info about how Committeepeople, PCOs (do you have those) and other local officials get chosen? I’ve never seen anything about monthly meetings for the district, or anything else. I do remember a contested race when Luke Esser was elected, but other than that, it’s pretty quiet. It would be interesting and might even help you garner more recruits.

If I were a Republican, I’m not sure I’d know how to get involved in the same way Dems do (loudly and opinionatedly — the way I like it.)

Sadly I have been too busy to attend the monthly meetings. I need to check if they are still happening. I believe they are.

Yes we do have PCO’s. Since I am out of the loop at the moment I do not have enough information to give you. As the home schedules change, so will my political action. Raising our rascal is taking a lot of time since we do not do daycare yet.

It is at the usual undisclosed location.

20 Tue Seattle 7:00PM 34th District Republicans Reorganization Location TBA

I remember when McCain “won” the republican caucus we were all shocked that the republicans would disenfranchise and bully their own members and that those same authoritarian followers would meekly take it.

    Shocked I tells ya.

All the Sound Politics calendar info is INCORRECT, for the re-org meetings.

More reliable info at the official source,

These re-org District meetings are nothing but rubber-stamp affairs to “ratify” District Chairs selected by the County Chair. For the re-org meetings only PCO’s can vote. Not really a general interest audience meeting.

That is so sad, FRA. Is there every any interest among repubs to take back their party? After the debacle in November, I’d expect to be hearing a lot from the grassroots. I mean, sometimes I’d like my side to be a little more “obedient” but this is just sad. Democracy – of the people, not of the county (and district and state) chairs. :-(
