Who does this kind of work? It is more than painting, the old-fashioned plaster ceiling needs some sanding and retexturing too. The existing paint and texture is falling off after a small roof leak. (The roof has been replaced, so now I’m moving on to the ceiling repair). I’m not sure what kind of professional to call for this kind of work … it is really more than painting.

Any advice and real life experiences are appreciated. I know this is probably a pretty common problem in older West Seattle houses – mine is a little 1924 bungalow.

    Thanks!

I think many painters will also do sanding and retexturing it’s a reasonable thing to ask for.
