sarellyMemberThe new Tuscan Tea Room in the Junction – expensive, but worth it! Fun faux-Rococo interior with robin’s egg blue walls, ornate mirrors, tile floors, couches at the tables, angels on the ceiling, mix-and-match antique china, and a list of exquisite teas (who knew tea could taste that good?), desserts, and wow, what can I say but lunch there was AMAZING, unexpectedly delicious and unique? Great place for Mother’s Day,bridal shower party, a special day out with The Girls, or for when you just need to run away from home.

casabobaMemberI LIKE it a LOT. The entire staff is KIND. The food is FRESH and prepared well. The ambiance is a genteel-refuge from the hustle-bustle of your day. Tuscan Tea Room is FUN. Try it with a good friend, you will both like it.

Mofo MikeOMemberMy wife and I LOVE the Tuscan Tea room! She is excited to bring her friends there, and I know she is planning to bring her mother there as well. Super cute!

librarianMemberHave they gotten in some smaller teapots yet? The one time I went, I could not get just a cup of tea, just a large pot. Being alone that was way more than I wanted. Haven’t been back.

grrParticipantany reviews on the new dinner stuff?? Walked by last night..menu looked spectacular, but we didn’t go it.. It’s a tad froofy for me, but if the food is good, I’ll bite :) Maybe changing the name to ‘Tea room and Bistro’ might help…

TDeParticipantThe food is good. It’s way froofy for me, but the food keeps me coming back and they are very nice about me wearing jeans.
Love the crepes!

AurekMemberFroofy is a good word, haha.

grrParticipantI’m fine with Froofy if the food is spectacular. Seems to me like they have a Marketing issue. Not a lot online about the quality of the food/reviews. I have spoken to a few people who dine there regularly and say it’s some of the finest Italian food they’ve ever eaten. Hmmmm.

grrParticipantLOL..my wife just pointed out to me that TTR indeed DID change it’s name to ‘Bistro” http://www.thetuscantearoom.com/
I think they owe me lunch. :D

WMOParticipantgrr, They definitely owe you lunch, adding my family and friends as new diners will more than cover your tab. Thanks for the link so I could check out the menu.
Q? How big is the dining area, and how crowded is it on a typical Saturday night?
My wife and I, and dining companions, usually work spur of the moment instead of making reservations, and would love to be able to just drop in for dinner.
Thanks,
Bill at Duwamish Head.

grrParticipanthey Bill..I don’t know.. I walked past last night around 8, and it was crowded, but certainly not packed. I’ve got a recently discovered food allergy to Garlic (and lemon..oh the inhumanity of it). but I saw plenty of stuff on the menu that looks like I can eat there.. Will give it a good go after Nov 1 for sure.

JanSParticipantwow..garlic and lemon…I’m so sorry…grrrrrrr….

grrParticipantin addition to Eggs, cow dairy (but Goats milk is cool), oats and greenbeans. Red meat is borderline ok, but pork, chicken, and fishes are all fine.. no shellfish.. Might as well be Kosher :)
