So, I am a little late in jumping on the CC brunch bandwagon, mainly because Aim introduced us to Skylark for breakfast & we’ve been going there- but we went to the Charlestown yesterday morning and OH MY GAWD the food was great! I had the veggie Benedict, which is delicious – spinach, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes topped with poached eggs/hollandaise – and the BF had the crab cake Benedict. Rounding it all off were the yummiest mimosas topped with a fresh strawberry. Excellent service as well. Just wanted to put in my huge rave for such a neat place. Does anyone know if they are still planning on tearing it down for a Petco? I might just have to chain myself to the doors…and I feel like I might be in good company on that.

That proposal is long dead. It died days before the February fire.

However, the site probably will be redeveloped at some point, per our report at the time. Not likely any time in the near future given that the property owner approved the project that finally enabled the Charlestown (I’m amending the thread title for searchers’ benefit) to reopen.

Petco, meantime, supposedly has renewed its lease in The Junction for a couple years. I’ve been trying to get a hold of Petco PR to confirm this so I can post about it.
