lizfairMemberThanks to the maniac driving a van, that was turning the corner off Morgan and going so fast he didn’t even stop after running over and killing our cat as my 5 year old son watched. Thank you for not stopping. Thank you for doing this only a week after my father, my son’s grandfather, died. SLOW DOWN!!111 My son asked if we could taker her to the vet. My heart is broken, having to explain all this to a 5 year old.

BreezyParticipantlizfair, you have my most sincerest condolences in the loss of your father and your cat. The death of a loved pet is hard enough, but to have it happen in this manner, and at an already emotionally fragile moment in time, is incomprehensible.

luckymom30ParticipantVery sorry for the heartless way your cat died, condolences for your dad and cat.
When we had to help our then 5 year old daughter deal with the loss of our much beloved dog we found the book “I’ll Always Love You” by Hans Wilhelm helped alot.
It is written for children to help deal with the loss of a pet in very gentle terms. recommended age: 3-7 years. It is available at most libraries, used book stores and locally at Target.

sacatoshParticipantI am so sorry to hear this. There’s a good book called “For Every Cat An Angel” that may help with your son. I’m incredibly sorry for both losses back to back. People are indeed shit-heels.
