sagafooMemberWe at the corner of Hanford and California have already been subject to a life altering amount of noise from construction of the Giant Mall next door. But, this at least stops at night and weekends, But now this unfinished road construction in front of the building is too much. There is NO notice or sign for cars to slow down?? The noise is as loud as a Gunshot, or a small earthquake when cars go over this (Which is constantly!!!!), its out of control! The city should at least force cars to slow down going over this, I mean seriously, it’s LOUD ALL NIGHT. Boom Bam Boom!! Rumble….RRUUMMBBLLEE!!! AAARRGGHHHGHG. I pay increased rent every year for sleepless nights and NOISE all day????? Come on Seattle, there has to be some restrictions. Please Help!! This is becoming a serious burden. Oh, By the way…I am NOT some sort of silence loving zealot, We are a regular married couple living here and this is really causing us a lot of grief. We dont expect silence or anything, but constant noise that rivals a War Movie is just too much. Does anyone know where to call or email to have this addressed ?? Thanks everyone!!!

WSBKeymasterIs it related to the project (I assume you mean the Intracorp project)? If so, start with the contractor (Exxel Pacific, whose on-site office is in the days-are-numbered commercial building across the street). Then the developer, Intracorp. If it’s a road problem, SDOT would have issued a Street Use Permit – 206-684-ROAD. Finally, the project itself would be governed by DPD.
The site superintendent’s e-mail and phone are in the original “construction starting” bulletin and they are provided for that purpose. We published them and the flyer in this story:
Demolition to start Tuesday for block-long 3210 California SW, now ‘Admiral East Apartments’
Good luck … TR
