GenHillOneParticipantHas anyone heard of any upcoming document shredding events? Nothing is popping up in my search and we have too much for the little home machine.
I prefer the free kind(!), but it looks like I just missed one that was done as a fundraiser and I would have jumped on that as well.

WS PersonParticipantlooks like BECU might have one coming in April. I think they do this every April and October per their website (I searched for “shred”).

JayLyMemberThe High Point Branch of the Seattle Public Library will be hosting a public shred event on Thursday 4/10 from 2-6pm. The event details will be released soon and I’ll post a link to the event here once that page goes live (should be soon). If you can’t make that one, there are three other public shred events planned across the city that week;
Beacon Hill Branch: Saturday 4/5: 10am-1pm
Green Lake Branch: Sunday 4/6: 1-5pm
Rainier Beach Branch: Wednesday 4/9: 1-5pm
These events are part of Money Smart Week, a national public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. There will also be classes, and other events that week. Stay tuned!

NikiSParticipantWow, I’d never heard of the Shred Stop, what a cool local company–to add my two cents, Admiral Mailing Center (on California at Lander), will shred for you as well–not free but it’s pretty cheap as I recall, have been planning to bring some shredding there as I always miss the big events.

GenHillOneParticipantThanks, All! I was hoping to be done with it before April, but at least I know it’s coming. And I didn’t know about Shred Stop either – cool idea! We need one in WS…if I have to pay, I’d choose their values over the other options – Methow Valley and the Duwamish? Yup :)

JayLyMemberHere is a link to the details on the High Point Branch shred day in the Seattle Public Library event calendar.
This is part of Money Smart Week, and there are a number of other exciting classes and events taking place around West Seattle, and other parts of the city.

For more shred days, the attorney general has a shreddathon event page where you can find the days/times of shred events in Seattle and beyond.
