AnonymousInactiveBiden also misrepresented McCain on several issues.
He also misspoke and was factually wrong.
I am curious, though, to the answer to my question about Biden lying to get voted, or truly believing that Obama is not qualified.
Which one do you, or anyone, think is accurate?
October 4, 2008 at 12:11 am #641923
beachdrivegirlParticipantI think at the time he believed that he was more qualified. I think that once Obama became nominated over him it opened his eyes and just ho experienced Obama was.

ariettaParticipantNR, you are so adept at attacking and then playing the naive victim. Why is it that when someone provides proof of something that isn’t what you want to hear, you change the question? Here’s a summary of some of the past few posts:
NR: Where are the examples of [barbie] not having a grasp on things?
Annie, ellenator, NR’s own link: [question answered and proof provided of her not having a grasp]
NR: Well, it seems both candidates were wrong in the debate. Why is it more damning when [barbie] does it?
So nice diversion tactic, but it’s not as clever as you think to divert and then cry victim. At least you’re consistent, at least on this forum, I’ll give you that.

AnonymousInactivearietta – Not sure what you’re talking about or even trying to point out.
I asked for legitimate reasons for all of the negativity towards Palin as a result of her performance at the debate. No one gave me a specific example. I just might be the only one who sees that, but it’s true.
I linked to factcheck (yes and showed proof of her misspeaking – not proof, however, that she didn’t answer any questions) because they BOTH were factually wrong.
This is definitely not a case of “not what I wanted to hear”, but more of my request of examples still not being answered.
Do YOU have an example, or proof that Palin has no idea what she is talking about? I’d love to hear it if you do…. something tells me that you don’t.
So, you just got on and posted to claim that I am not clever according to you. Very informative. Thank you for sharing that highly intelligent viewpoint. lol.
October 4, 2008 at 12:26 am #641926
AnonymousInactiveBTW, arietta, who is it that I supposedly “attacked”?
October 4, 2008 at 12:30 am #641927
megMemberNR- It never really matters what the issue is on the forums…your comments are exactly the same. It is as sad & hysterical as the idea of palin for vp.
October 4, 2008 at 12:50 am #641928
AnonymousInactivemeg – What, exactly, does that even mean? Please explain.
October 4, 2008 at 12:54 am #641929
GenHillOneParticipantL(literally)LOL!
October 4, 2008 at 12:58 am #641930
ariettaParticipantI’m done feeding the trolls, thanks. NR you’ll just have to take responsibility for figuring it out yourself. Or don’t. Your choice.
October 4, 2008 at 1:00 am #641931
AnonymousInactiveYou know, before the hall monitor chirps up to let me know that “this isn’t about me”, I just want to say, I wasn’t the one who started questioning myself (or my posts) personally.
Let’s get back to the issues…
Why does it not matter that Biden misspoke almost as much (I actually didn’t count, BDG) as Palin? Why is that being overlooked – especially since he is the veteran and supposed to know his stuff. Based on that, seems even worse that he was factually wrong as many times as he was.
Why is it a fact that Palin has absolutely no grasp on the issues? What are we all basing that on?
Why is it ok that Biden believes Obama is not qualified to be President? Or he thinks he IS qualified, but just pandered to voters when he was making a go of it.
These questions (with the exception of BDG’s assessment on Obama’s experience, thank you for that) have yet to be answered.
October 4, 2008 at 1:02 am #641932
AnonymousInactivearietta – You’re “done feeding the trolls” or don’t have an answer?
Seems to me that if you could prove what I say or question wrong, you would.
October 4, 2008 at 1:03 am #641933
megMemberIt has been explained to you, ad nauseum, on pretty much every single lengthy forum threads from queer meetups to politics….it is always the same. You attack, then get feedback, then feel victimized, then play dumb/naive/uneducated, then don’t listen….always the same, tired, boring story. I don’t have the energy to explain it to you for the 700 trillionth time. You’ll just have to take it upon yourself to sort it out. If you are interested that is.
October 4, 2008 at 1:03 am #641934
walfredoMemberNewRes- Thank you! I completely understand wanting to hear a conservative opinion/spin. I prefer to watch MSNBC for the opposite reason.
As far as factual “misspeaking” and not having any clue what you are talking about… There is a difference. She argued to make the VP part of all 3 branches of government based on the flexibility built in by the founding fathers for the position. What the hell does that mean? Seriously? Really?
Misspeaking is one thing. Having no clue what the hell you are talking about and talking faster instead is scary…
If you are a real candidate hold a freaking press conference, take follow up questions… Stop doing Fox News infomercials. The past 5 weeks she have been a joke.
October 4, 2008 at 1:05 am #641935
RainyDay1235MemberYes, both candidates got some facts wrong…

ariettaParticipantNR, your attempts to bait are as transparent as it gets. I guess your choice was “don’t.”
October 4, 2008 at 1:07 am #641937
megMemberArietta….you are so right. It always the choice she makes. Always. Same old story. Yawn.
October 4, 2008 at 1:08 am #641938
ellenaterMemberNew Resident,
I don’t know that you’re attacking but I don’t buy that you are just trying to get info. If you were, you would be doing more research on your own. The main reason I don’t buy that you really are interested is because you overlook key points, again and again, that are all over the forums.
How could you vote for someone that clearly has an anger problem and called his wife a c#nt in public? I would best big money that Biden never did that. I do not want that kind of person to be my President. Having just dealt with 8 years or W was enough depression for me!
Palin is a vacuous fool. If you watched the debate and read all the liks and posts on here and still don’t get that, I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t think it’s right to be a jerk to someone just because they disagree with you (me) but you keep brining this up and I don’t believe you. Go watch the debate again and tell me how many questions Palin answered. Then count how many Biden answered. Then tell me honestly you think Palin is qualified. Honestly, the thought makes me want to hurl.
SOme of this is common sense, too. Anyone who refers to themself as a “maverick” is NOT a maverick and is someone who would and should have had their @ss kicked in high school. You just don’t do that. It’s just not done. It’s tacky.
And lastly, the reason Biden didn’t attack Palin on those issues is because the right would have gone nuts and felt sorry for her. Biden’s strategy was just to allow Palin to dig her own election grave.
That’s all I got. I hope you will re-watch the debate and do the count. Seriously. I don’t mean to be harsh but I am very tired of living in a sound bite culture!! Palin is the worst of the worst.
October 4, 2008 at 1:08 am #641939
MrJTMemberNR, With insistence of complete answers and supporting documentation you require here, we should have had you moderate the debate, THEN we MAY have had a chance of getting a coherent answer from the Grandpas secretary.
October 4, 2008 at 1:08 am #641940
RainyDay1235Member>I get my news from Fox (I feel that it is the most factual, unbiased news program)
NR, seriously? Even though I don’t agree with many of your views, you seem very intelligent. You really don’t see how skewed that reporting is…c’mon!
October 4, 2008 at 1:12 am #641941
AnonymousInactiveThank you for that, walfredo. Finally, someone who can actually back up what they feel with some insight. (although, I disagree :))
meg – If you read any part of this thread today (and were objective in any way), you would see that, no, my questions were NOT answered.
I don’t “need things explained to me” like a child, like you insinuate. I have noticed, however, that you rarely provide any factual, interesting information except to tell me what you think of me or my posts.
If you don’t want to discuss the issues (or help convince a fellow member to see something the way you do), don’t post. Don’t get involved.
I think it’s pretty simple: if you have nothing to add to the discussion, don’t participate. I’m no victim (have never played one), but I do want to know what everyone is basing this negative outlook of Palin on. If you can’t help to shed light on that, just don’t comment.
October 4, 2008 at 1:13 am #641942
TrisketParticipantMeg- You are dead on with post #162!
October 4, 2008 at 1:13 am #641943
TammiWSMemberGood idea. After a days thought and commentary, just rewatch the entire debate, add up the things from each side you think were misstated, lied about, goofed….Research each one and then see if perhaps you see something differently.
I just keep thinking regardless of all of the back/forth, if we were to be attacked again by terriorists or if something were to happen to either as President who would I be more confident in if they had to step in and guide the country. Biden hands down….
October 4, 2008 at 1:17 am #641944
TrisketParticipantNR – if you “don’t need things explained”… why then do you ask in post #157
“meg – What, exactly, does that even mean? Please explain.”
Please explain.
October 4, 2008 at 1:23 am #641945
megMemberNR- many of your questions were answered, as always. And, as always, you say no one is answering you/helping you/ etc.
Sorry you don’t find my input interesting—wasn’t really trying to entertain you.
Please, just re-read all the threads and you’ll find more than enough reasons for a negative outlook on Palin.
My big beef is that she is completely unqualifed. And, either unaware enough or to self-important to realize it on her own. Uninterested in actually learning more. (sound familiar anyone??). She doesn’t know her history or current events. She is in trouble with abuse of power in alaska. She is antichoice. She thinks she is on some freaky mission from a god that is supposed to have nothing to do with any of this. She wants creationism taught in schools. She doesn’t give a crap about global warming. She bans books. She is a nightmare. And an ignorant one at that. Kind of like W come to think of it.
October 4, 2008 at 1:30 am #641946
AnonymousInactiveOlberman did a side by side clip of W (debating Gore) and Palin. Same speech writer.
