ALSParticipantDoes anyone know where to find information about a particular project? There is a sign posted on my block that I’d love to read more about but can’t seem to figure out where to find this info.

charlabobParticipantALS, buried in here is everything you could want to know — http://www.seattle.gov/dpd/notices/Overview/. Probably more than everything.
Go here to see the list–you can sort by number, address … then you can read the overview to what it all means.

Enjoy!

ALSParticipantHmm… I dug through there a bit but couldn’t find the answers I was looking for. There is this charming old craftsman on my block with one of those signs out front. The sign says: Land Use Application to allow construction of six single family residences. Application includes the retention of one single family residence, demolition of one single family residence and two detached garages. Surface parking for seven vehicles to provided.
What it doesn’t specify is which home is going to be retained and which one will be demolished – or what the new homes will look like – how tall they’ll be, if they’ll block my view, etc.
I suppose I could call the number listed, but I’m mostly just being nosy…

WSBKeymasterYou don’t have to go thru a list.
Just enter the address on “projects by address” on the DPD home page.
You can also use the project # on the sign to use the “search by project #” function.
If that doesn’t work for you, e-mail me. I am always happy to look these up for people. There are also tricks sometimes such as, they change the addressing so they don’t come up on the address you think they should.

RickBMemberALS,
I was asking the same question when I was scouting out the neighborhood near my new house. I was unable to find any place online where I could enter the notice number and get information. What I did instead was use the King County Parcel Viewer to find the property, then drill down and view the various permits that had been issued.
http://www.metrokc.gov/GIS/mapportal/PViewer_main.htm
Those, along with the several comments attached by County employees, let me know that the project had been dropped by the owners some years ago. I was not able to find the level of detail you’re after about the specifics of the project, however. Also, this was in White Center (unincorporated King County); for city of Seattle addresses, the online resources might be different.
Good luck!
