And at Microsoft they make “99.8 cents for every dollar earned by men with the same job title.” I will state that again – SAME JOB TITLE – which is not the same math used by the national media (or HRC) when stating the 79 cent BS – and they know it.

sigh… what you show is that at entry level positions women make the same money as men..
but they don’t move out of those entry level positions as quickly or advance through those job titles as quickly…
and then there is the old job title switcheroo.. which you don’t seem to acknowledge..
women predominantly hired under one job title while men are predominantly hired under another.
further.. if you researched the tech industry, you would find they are having a tough time both recruiting and keeping female employees…

hubby works in this industry and i can tell you it is a young man’s game…

    Smitty..
i think you will find this link interesting.
the data is obviously slightly outdated as Expedia reports that it is now at 52 or 53% female employment systemwide… but.. it is relevant that the discrepancy in numbers indicates a large percentage of those women are new hires.. who make significantly less than the norm.

the number they don’t show is the mean salary for men and for women at Expedia…
