manolitaParticipantI own a small business and need to find a new payroll specialist. I am currently using a big company to do my payroll but would prefer someone local. Any recommendations?

DBurnsParticipantWe use CompuPay in Tukwila – small company, very thorough and not expensive. We have had no problems at all with them – I had issues with the 2 big companies myself, and feel like CompuPay gives great attention to small business.

livingonthebeachMemberI use http://www.paycycle.com through my BofA business account. Cost about $30 a month and you do the input yourself and the system calculates. As a small business I find this opinion much less expensive and easier for me to manage.
They have an option where you can have direct deposit to your employees but I find it easier to do live checks since the requirements for direct deposit require advance scheduling and prefunding.
Also, this service automatically tracks your 941 payroll tax payments and allows me to auto deduct my payments from my account and they send to IRS.
I believe this service works for any bank, just need to get information into system.
Good luck!

missmandyMemberHi Manolita. I run a small construction company and do payroll myself for our 4 employees using the Intuit Online Payroll. It is by the Quickbooks people (use that too) and it is great. Before starting our business I had zero payroll experience and it has been a breeze using there systeme. I am pretty sure it is really inexpensive too, maybe around $20/month.

m3bodyworksMemberI too use paycycle.com. We have one employee and 11 contractors all direct deposited and they all have access to their records online. It can be a little confusing setting it up, but the support help is really good.
We try to do everything paperless and that’s why we chose Paycycle.com. It caclulates all your taxes, Unemployement, Federal and such.
