cindi1953@gmail.comMemberTo many high priced clothing stores. 5 new gyms open and no where to by nice athletic wear.I could help open and manage one. I just don`t have the finances. Just think this would be a Gold mine. Target is the only place close.

SueParticipantDoesn’t 8 Limbs Yoga sell yoga clothes? I’ve never looked too closely as I’m passing by for West Seattle Wellness, but I thought they sold some clothing too.
Personally, I would have no need for an athletic store. I wear t-shirts and shorts to the gym that I already own. And any speciality shop would probably not cater to larger sizes, so if I ever needed anything truly specialized, I know where to buy online in my size.

girltraceyMemberI would love a workout wear store in W Sea. If it wasn’t solely for people who do yoga. My friends and I are always complaining about the lack of clothing variety for girls who lift weights, run, box or other intense activity that isn’t yoga. Yoga has all the cute clothes. I have lots of friends who run Ironmans, marathons and pump iron and want to look cute doing it.

bsmommaParticipantI think this is a GREAT idea! Yes, there are places in Westwood and probably some of the workout places sell workout attire, but nothing soley commited to athletic attire between Admiral and Morgan St. A reasonably priced place (vs. boutique prices) would be awesome! It would be nice to be able to go a local business to buy a pair of Adidas and a sweat/T-shirt! I remember when we had a JC Penny, that was awesome! I could go get a realisticly priced outfit and a pair of shoes. Now, if I want an outfit, I have to be able to fork out ATLEAST 150 bucks (unless I go to a consignment shop)!

TraciMemberIf you build it, they will come.
Seriously though, there is definitely a void in WS for good activewear that isn’t at Westwood. I personally like smaller, specialized stores. It’s nice having a wide selection of active wear to chose from, and the atmosphere can be really encouraging.
Lucy in U Village has the best setup, but it’s SUPER expensive. Like crazy expensive…I have to avert my eyes because I want it all! If we had a more reasonably priced shop in WS I’d be all over it.

cindi1953@gmail.comMemberSure there`s Marshalls and big 5….but the variety and style are limited. The guy that owns Sport Junction should give me a call. They should put a store out on California and let me order the clothes and keep the Trophy and uniform business.

saddleshoes15MemberHey, there is no competition in West Seattle for active wear. The basics and nice styles for just going around town. There is also no socks for men or women . Hiking , sports or casual socks.
