It’s not that much harder for people to make an impact these days, JoB, though I can see how someone might think that from the way things have been going lately.
— People getting out on the streets can still make a difference.
— Shaming politicians in public can still make a difference.
— Non-violent resistance to injustice can still make a difference.
Even voting can make a difference, though I’ll grant you that voting makes less of a difference when politicians feel more beholden to corporate lobbyists than to voters.
Consider this: I-1098 is going to be a big step forward for our state and we’re doing it all on our own.
It’s like . . . Look, Ma! No politicians!
So in short,
I am optimism.
And you can too.
