ellenaterMemberwho delivers the best pizza? It’s got to be delivered and it’s got to be good. Thank you for your prompt consideration!
October 3, 2008 at 10:31 pm #642183
AnonymousInactiveI like Luciano’s House special. Order and pay online.
October 3, 2008 at 10:35 pm #642184
JenVMemberare you north of Thistle? Pagliacci is great. Pricey, but great.
October 3, 2008 at 10:42 pm #642185
ellenaterMemberI’m in Gatewood, JenV. We are North of Thistle. But I just ordered Luciano’s, Thanks JT! I love barbe-cue chicken pizza with red onions and they have it!!!!! Is Pagliacci in North Seattle, too? I think I had themand they ARE good.
mmmm. pizza.
October 3, 2008 at 10:44 pm #642186
JenVMemberPagliacci is just north of the junction. They really are pricey, but their crust is SO good and nothing is greasy- they have the best vegetarian options of any pizza place I have tried….I have not tried Luciano’s, though- so a review would be great!
October 3, 2008 at 10:49 pm #642187
ellenaterMemberI’ll review it for sure then. :)
October 3, 2008 at 10:54 pm #642188
beachdrivegirlParticipantPagliacci’s is fantastic!
October 3, 2008 at 11:02 pm #642189
AnonymousInactivePagliacci is closer to Gatewood than Luciano’s but they don’t deliver to us. We’re on the *wrong* side of 35th.
October 3, 2008 at 11:03 pm #642190
ellenaterMemberI’m pretty sure I had them in N. Seattle. Lake City Wayish. They ARE good. But again, not sure they have that chicken option with the red onions. Luciano’s salads look good, too.
October 3, 2008 at 11:13 pm #642191
JenVMemberI don’t know what the deal is with the delivery areas here. When I was 18 I delivered pizzas for Pizza Time and they stopped at 35th and Thistle as well.

ariettaParticipantI think I saw a sign on the bar at the corner of Calif. and Fauntleroy (which I walk by practically every day and still can’t think of the name right now) was going to be a Zeeks. They’re pretty good as far as I remember, but I personally like Pagliacci best. Parma Primo [insert Homer Simpson gurgling noises here].

WSBKeymasterWe reported here one month ago that Zeeks is coming to the Corner Inn space. They will be doing delivery as well as walk-in and sit-down. Here’s our article, including an interview with a Zeeks exec:

GenHillOneParticipantThis just made me giggle, ellenator…how many times have I said, “I need pizza delivered right now” – or I need coffee NOW, or dang, I need a drink immediately…just funny ‘cuz I could relate to your plea :)
Hope you liked Luciano’s. Pagliacci doesn’t start delivery until 5pm (4 on weekends/debate nights) btw. Because orders go to a call center though, I have had success calling a little early and getting my order in rather than waiting until 5:00. That shaves some time off of my wait.

ariettaParticipantHa ha, I almost asked if I’d read it here! :) Shoulda known…

mellaw6565MemberWe love Luciano’s and order their pizza and salads all the time. We also like their pasta dishes (me- meatball fromagio; gf – tortellini). Our fav. pizza is the Primadonna w/artichokes. And FYI – their salads are huge!
October 4, 2008 at 1:14 am #642197
ellenaterMemberWell Luciano’s was VERY good. I have to give them a very high score. Their crust was not as good as Pagliacci but the toppings and sauce made up for it. The salad IS huge! But I really am just into the pizza right now. Yes GenHillOne, it was one of those cravings, lol.
Why don’t the others deliver here? We are North of Thistle.
October 4, 2008 at 1:28 am #642198
AnonymousInactiveGlad you liked it Ellenater. No fun when someone thinks your suggestion sucks. And of course it’s all subjective opinion. Lots of people like Abbondanza better.

WSBKeymasterGarlic Jim’s delivers to this area. So does Amante. We had a big discussion here about the Pagliacci refusal to deliver this far south many months ago (it was a hot topic even though WSB readership was a fraction of what it is now). I first complained about it three months after starting WSB, back when it was just a little opinion blog:
https://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=134
In early 2007, we invited everybody to bitch about it:
https://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=1005
A week later, a newspaper columnist made fun of all of us for complaining:
https://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=1029
A month later, Pagliacci expanded south … to Holden. (Before that, their southernmost border was Brandon, which was insane!)
https://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=1217
And that’s where the border stays to this day, so far as we know. We are living La Vida Costco these days so not much pizza, but we would probably have Pagliacci a couple times a month if they delivered down this way.
October 4, 2008 at 3:28 am #642200
barbMemberI love Lucianos, I also really like Pagliacci, but the cost kind of deters me, but some of their seasonals I can not resist. The downside with Garlic Jims is that they charge a deliver, but it isn’t too much.
October 4, 2008 at 3:45 am #642201
elgregoMemberI live on Holden, between Delridge and 35th, and Pagliacci doesn’t deliver here, which is sad. They’re the best pizza I’ve had in Seattle.
October 4, 2008 at 4:36 am #642202
JPParticipantDon’t forget about Olympia Pizza on Delridge. We ordered a couple of times…They were fantastic and fast delivery!!!
October 4, 2008 at 4:53 am #642203
CaitParticipantElgrego, I feel you! We’re on 24th and Holden and I swear it’s a pizza dead zone. We always go with Pizza Hut out of desperation, and we’re always disappointed. Then again it’s hard to disappoint the young, chubby and broke. :)
I would pay someone from Pagliacci 20 freaking bucks to just go about four more blocks. Think they’d go for it?
October 4, 2008 at 4:54 am #642204
ellenaterMemberSo we live on Ida which is ONE block before Holden. I wonder if they deliver here. That’s funny that it was such a big issue. I really like Luciano’s though so I guess it’s OK if Pagliacci wants to be dumb about it.
October 4, 2008 at 6:13 am #642205
JanSParticipantIt’s my understanding that Gianonni’s at Westwood Village doesn’t deliver, which is a shame…their pizza is terrific. I wish I lived closer just so I could get a fresh one :(
October 4, 2008 at 6:33 am #642206
SueParticipantJan, I was just there at Giononni’s tonight – their white pizza with tons of garlic was just awesome! I think you’re right about them not delivering, but it’s worth the trip. We’ll have to both trek down there one night.
