A friend is interested in moving from the Greenlake area to West Seattle. She’s having a difficult time finding available homes through internet searches.

Does you know of any dog friendly homes for rent?

Just an FYI – I myself just finally found a rental house in West Seattle for my family after looking for a while and please let your friend know there are a lot of scams on Craigslist for rental homes. I ran into 2 in the West Seattle area, one of which is in the middle of a police investigation so just make sure they are very careful. They are looking for credit reports or deposits.

Due to this I ended up going through Dwellings as using a broker made me feel a lot safer about finding a place. It is hard to find rentals for this price as that was exactly our price range but they are out there.

When are they hoping to find a place by?

Bree, thanks for the information. I will pass it along, and I’m sure they will appreciate the heads-up. Not sure when their deadline is – they are on a month to month right now, and it’s their choice to leave.

Maybe a bit more info for potential landlords like

What size, breed and age is the dog?

Also, what are the boundaries of “West Seattle” she is looking within? Some folks have different ideas of what WS is, ya’ know?

Good luck to her. The dog thing can be tough for renters.

We possible would have a rental available mid September but are above $2k.

Julie Barber typically handles our rentals. It doesn’t look like she has any available at the moment but maybe she knows of some up and coming? She works at Avenue One.
