We have a wet basement as a result of a bad front door/porch and a couple windows. We tore the walls out of the basement, now want someone to identify leaks and fix/replace porch, door and windows and replace walls. I had some basement waterproofing people out, but I really don’t think their suggestion of a sump pump is the answer since you can see water leaking from up near the door.

So…do I find a general contractor? Someone else? General contractors always seem interested in huge remodel jobs only.

    Thanks for the input.

Hello! My husband Jimmy is a “General Contractor”. But do not be afraid! He’s his only employee! :) Our Comapany’s name is Yankee Construction (YANKEC*926NF). We’re local, in the North Admiral Area.

website: http://www.yankeeconstruct.com and last but not least Jimmy’s cell # (206)310-4986. He’s done a fair amount of work around West Seattle and for West Seattle Bloggerss! Thanks!

I strongly recommend Mike Dolge. His expertise is phenomenal. He’s professional, punctual, neat, and a pleasure to work with. He did a great job fixing my deck and my basement window.
