PangolinPieParticipantI wrote up a review (with photos) of Harry’s fried chicken (served at Beveridge Place Pub) if anyone’s curious to see the delish food as it was served there:

Long story short: loved it.

kgdlgParticipantJust ate there for the first time last night. I had pork sandwich with slaw and my daughter had the chix strips. We liked it a lot as well! The pork po boy was more vinegar than sweet sauce, which is the way I like it. The strips were hot and tasty although I found the coating to be a little too thick and too heavily spiced. That being said, my daughter ate all but three bites of them, so there is a vote of confidence!
The staff was also totally lovely from the waitress that greeted us to the chef that chatted with us at the counter to the man who brought us ketchup (special request delivery for my daughter who isn’t really into the fancier sauces), he seemed like maybe the owner. They were lovely. I hope this place develops a following this summer so they can stay alive at these very decent prices!

MercyMoiParticipantGreat service, yes, but no one in my family liked the smokey, thick breading on the chicken. They had samples at the counter and I really should have tasted the chicken before buying dinner, because I wouldn’t have gotten the it! “Heavily spiced” doesn’t quite capture the breading for me, it’s fried in I think pig fat (not sure) but it’s smoked at the same time and the smokey flavor is overwhelming. I did like the pork sandwich and the sides, though.
