Jan, I hope you aren’t in there much longer. But if you ARE, be sure to get a windowed room at the front so you can watch the Blue Angels flying over Lake Washington!

Hey Jan, I have been MIA for a bit. Hope you are getting better at least. Enjoy the hospital rooms. Maybe you can carve Jan was here on the walls.

JoB. I am not as fearful today as I was a week ago. It’s been a helluva ride so far. And prednisone is about the most awful crap I have ever tasted…blech

    JanS..

thankfully, the taste won’t linger so much if it works…

at least.. that has been my experience.

today, you get to find out how good an imagination you have ;->

you are rally going to be bored when the prednisone kicks in…

all of that energy and nothing to do with it :(

Just hung out with Jan for awhile.

She’s in much better spirits, though didn’t get much sleep, like pretty much none, thanks to the crappy tasting prednisone.

The pneumonia is still there, but improving.

I got to see her physical therapy session, part of which involved walking about 30ft, I believe it was. That’s a milestone when a person has been bedridden. A person starts to lose muscle mass, after only 48 hours of bedriddeness.

Anyhow, they’re planning/hoping to move her up to the 11th floor very soon, which is a good thing (out of ICU), but I always thought it was better to move downstairs, to get closer to the exit door, and get the hell out of there! ;-)

Jan would still enjoy visits, especially from some dude named “Jimmy John”.

Don’t recognize that name from the Forums. Must be the guy’s “real life” name….. ;-)

Nice to visit you again, Jan. But, get the hell outta there!

    Hugs.

Another official post. I am out of ICU, on a regular medical floor- 11 east, specifically 1162…..a view of Mt. Rainier, the cascades, Bellevue. Will be a glorious sunrise

we love ya irritated, indignant, downright pissy… but never scared and afraid. That we ( I ) never want. Enjoy the sunrise… from the “right side of the bed or the left?

Yay for mountain views and sunrises!

See you Friday, on 11 East! (Unless you’re fortunate enough, to be at Safeway East, by that time!) ;-)

Great news, Jan! Unless, of course, that means you can no longer have food delivered, and then this causes other problems, like having to eat theirs. :) May you be home cuddling with Leo very soon!

Hi Jan, sorry I wasn’t able to swing by this morning–the damn traffic kept me from even getting OUT of WS for half an hour and then I was running late for my appointments. How are you feeling?

    Jan,

Your spirit is really just truly wonderful. You can be as positive or irritated as you want to, and we will all just lap it up.

    Just cause we all care…

You know we’re all thinking of you and want you back in our WS clutches.

Outta there and back home on Friday!

Susan…thank you. I am a firm believer of attitude and how it affects healing. It’s been a long 2 weeks. My reward was the stellar sunrise over the cascades. And tomorrow is another :)

    Jan,

Enjoy sunrise from your current viewpoint for another couple days.

There’s better ones in WSea though!

And better breakfast opps. Company tbd, but I think they’d likely be good based on past breakfasts and company.

If you need a ride home Friday, or any day, let me know. Happy to do so.

Jan, any update on when you’re being sprung?

If you’re still there tomorrow, (Fri) my visit will need to be early in the day, as I’ll need to be back by noon for lunch, and then off to an afternoon appt.

    Mike
