JiggersMemberYeah Jan, Get well so we can kaukau again. I’m borderline pneumonia myself. I saw my Doctor yesterday for x rays. I have fluid build up in my lungs from my pleurisy. But I have no fever so I didn’t need to be admitted and just taking some anti-biotics now. My eyes are red from bad sinuses associated with this lates virus. I have been hurting the last several days. Normally I would have to be admitted as you know my crappy immune system. But I’ll try to heal first outside before I have to go to E.R. E.R. is the last stop.

JanSParticipantMike…spoke too soon. Masks required because I am coughing. Paging Dr. Kildare…..

GinaParticipantI’d like to visit Leo, with your okay. Working at the human petri dish this week, so I don’t want to expose you to anything.

HelperMonkeyParticipantwe’re thinking about you Jan – let us know if you need anything while you’re there, or on your return.

I should be able to pop up tomorrow (Thurs) morning, around 8:00-ish to 9:00-ish, Jan.
(Busy week this week!).
Hugs to you until then.

SonomaParticipantHey, Mike and Jan S – Do you remember the Great Debate: Who’s cuter, Dr. Kildare or Dr. Ben Casey? Kildare usually won. Dr. Casey’s arms were too hairy, especially for a surgeon.
July 19, 2012 at 12:19 am #764060
miwsParticipantI don’t remember that, Sonoma.
I think I was a bit too young to enjoy Doctor Shows back then, but do remember being aware of them.
I was actually picturing “Ben Casey” in my mind when read Jan’s posting! :-)

SueParticipantI don’t think they’ll let me near you, Jan, as my cough is flaring up again, but I’ll do some healing work for you from here. Next best thing to being there. Feel better!
July 19, 2012 at 5:48 am #764062
JanSParticipantThanks sue!

JanSParticipantUpdate…now in room 868…it’s the tour
July 19, 2012 at 7:17 am #764064
kootchmanMemberWant me to come read classics to you? Atlas Shrugged? As I recall mom was all a dither about Ben Casey… and David Janssen, aka Dr. RIchard Kimble… The Fugitive
July 19, 2012 at 7:54 am #764065
JanSParticipantKootch, if it’ll take me out of this misery, I say go for it. Lol
July 19, 2012 at 1:27 pm #764066
JoBParticipantLOL.. i am not sure which of you would fall asleep faster..
maybe not such a bad idea after all
July 19, 2012 at 1:41 pm #764067
miwsParticipantJan, Atlas Shrugged would probably put you in more misery! ;-)
See you in a couple hours, or so!

JiggersMemberMIke.. I read the book Atlas Shrugged and I learned a lot but it took an objective person like me to understand Rand’s philosophies. Not saying you aren’t. If you aren’t open-minded enough to see her side then don’t bother. We are living what she penned over 50 years ago. You either like Rand’s thoughts or not. There is no inbetween with her. Who’s John Gault? I’d personally find a more entertaining book for Jan. Jan get out of the hospital quick. The sun is shining. This is one of the worst times to be in a bed.
July 19, 2012 at 4:22 pm #764069
JoBParticipantjiggers.. i am guessing you read Atlas Shrugged a while ago. So did i. it is a young person’s book that doesn’t read as well from the other side of the middle aged divide…
Thomas Pynchon on the other hand reads very well from the other side of the divide… and still puts me to sleep without fail.
I read a book or so a night, but one of his books can easily last me a couple of weeks..
since sleep is the one thing you really don’t get in a hospital.. i can heartily recommend either author..

miwsParticipantAs promised, I went up and visited Jan this morning.
We had a pleasant visit, but of course, she wants to get over this crap, and get the hell outta there.
The pneumonia is now also in her right lung, so breathing is tough for her right now.
So Jan could definitely use a continued, endless supply, of good healing thoughts.

GinaParticipantAt least you don’t have to do the dishes. Hope you can get some sleep. Hospitals and Airports have the same amount of racket at 2 am.
July 20, 2012 at 9:05 am #764075
JanSParticipantJust read my last post-lol. Now thatmade a lot of sense.
