So, if I understand this correctly, the strike is over, but those of us with Wednesday pick up will still have to wait a week to get our garbage picked up?! We can put out twice the amount we usually would OR pay $17+ to take it to the dump ourselves. Can we use non city issued containers for the additional garbage? One of the issues the drives are striking about is the lack of scales on the trucks, yet we have had our garbage passed over and “ticketed” with a note stating it was overweight! I am happy to hear the strike is over and hope this means service improves. If this continues, I hope Seattle sues Waste Management like Oakland did in 2007. Did we get a credit for the 2 or 3 weeks in December 2008 when we didn’t have garbage pick up?… Grrrr!
