    Thought about this while driving by. Who was Don Armeni? How did the launch ramp come to be named after him?

    He was a King County Sheriff’s Deputy killed on duty in the 1950s. He was involved in recreational fishing in his off time, so was honored posthumously by having the boat launch named after him. More on him here: https://behindthebadgefoundation.org/rollcall/armeni-deputy-donald-a/

    I have seen a number of boat trailers pull up to only find the gates closed. Boating’s open but the ramp is closed. I wonder if there’s a way to accommodate boaters. I understand that if the gate is open, non-boaters will try to park inside. Low priority but maybe move the pay station one boat & trailer length inside the gate?

    PS: they seem to be doing some much needed catch up maintenance while they have the chance.
