I can’t recall seeing a for profit business use our public art installation for advertising before. Very tacky Franciscan Medical Clinic IMHO. Really can’t imagine it’s legal but I can’t find anything specific. It isn’t allowed at Waiting for the Interurban in Freemont.

I was curious and looked up Franciscan – on their webpage it states: “Franciscan is a non-profit 501-c 3 organization and is affiliated with Catholic Health Initiatives.”

If I recall permission to decorate the statues must be received by the WS Chamber of Commerce, if that’s true than I guess since they are a non-profit org it was approved.

gotta admit 501-c status should negate my whine. I took a cursory look before posting and missed the not for profit reference and the .org
