Providence is calling a Communication Specialist (Foundation, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
*We are offering a Sign-Bonus of $500 and excellent benefits!*
In this position you will:
Promote Foundation and ministry community events via local blogs, calendar listings and other media
Write media releases to local, state and national media, assist with responses and facilitate outside group study visits
Develop donor, resident, patient, family and caregiver communications platforms (website, social media, e-News versions) and materials (newsletters, invitations, announcements, posters etc.) in collaboration with Public Relations manager and director
Post regular social media updates, monitor and facilitate responses
Write annual ministry chronicles
Draft and facilitate design of Providence Mount St. Vincent and Providence Mount St. Vincent Foundations printed collateral, forms, and specialized communications which includes but is not limited to brochures, displays,fact sheets, flyers, mailing materials and giveaways and displays
Produce special internal projects such as art installations, recognition, signage and displays
Facilitate participation, displays, materials and giveaways for outside conferences and sponsored events
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, English or similar degree
2 years demonstrated communications experience (portfolio) in developing, written and oral materials, collateral, press releases and presentations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project deadlines and parameters within budget and on-time
Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
Ability to maintain highest standards of accuracy, productivity and confidentiality
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in event planning and facilitation
Video production and photography
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
Social media experience
