Has anyone used a chimney inspection and repair service that they would recommend? Any tips on what to look for beside being licensed and bonded?

Also looking for chimney repair, and fireplace. Am looking at a large, unlined hole in the side of my house where an insert used to be.

We used Mark from Abe’s chimney Service last year…don’t know if he is an official ‘inspector’, but he’s very easy to work with and I’d trust anything he said about my chimney(he was referred to me by a neighbor who was also very happy with his work) call him and ask about inspection. 206-763-8154

I ended up using http://www.thechimneyspecialists.com. They were recommended through McLendon’s and were very professional. Did a nice job of cleaning and re-pointing our chimney. An estimator will come out and give you a free quote.

Mark from Abe’s Chimney did a great job for us 6 months ago – built a new chimney from the roof up. Fabulous workmanship.
