My name is Jordan and I received a Boeing internship for this summer. I currently go to Virginia Tech and major in Materials Science and Engineering. I have been searching for housing for weeks and am running out of time because my start Date is May 31st. I need to be in town by the 28th and my internship last for 10 weeks. I am in search for an apartment to sublet and/or a reasonable short term lease. Preferably all inclusive and furnished.

trickycooljParticipantHi Jordan, I work at Plant 2. Unfortunately I do not have any space available but, if you don’t locate something before your start date, there is an internal classifieds website that always has tons of listings for rentals. If you can swing a hotel your first little bit you might have more luck when you get here!

If you want this unit you can have it for $700 per month. You can have it on a month-to-month basis. Just call the property manager and tell the property manager that a board member of the association says it is okay. They know how to contact me.
It is not furnished but you can buy an inflatable mattress at Target for $50!!

trickycooljParticipantEmailed you some additional questions. It’s important to note several very different groupings of Boeing buildings are in Tukwila including South Boeing Field, the Duawamish Towers (near SR599/99 interchange) and the Commercial HQ near the Family Fun Center off of I-405. Will you have a car or will you be using public transportation? These have significant impact on where you plan to stay during your Internship. Good luck!

I am working at the Boeing fields in Building 2-122 near Airport Way South. I’m not sure what the common name is(S Boeing fields?, Plant 1?, etc). I will need to use public transportation unless I can find a place affordable enough that I can rent a car. My price cap is about $1500 and I would definitely prefer lower. Thank You all again
Also, I know of other interns still looking for 2-3 bedroom stays. I will suggest that they post too
