I know we’ve had several discussions here over the months about genetically engineered foods and here’s another new story from Wired about Bt corn has now been one-upped by the worm it was designed to suppress.

Quote: After years of predicting it would happen — and after years of having their suggestions largely ignored by companies, farmers and regulators — scientists have documented the rapid evolution of corn rootworms that are resistant to Bt corn.”

Again, it’s a story of hubris and not accounting for predictable human nature – i.e. – ignoring of important recommended steps of use.
