I grew up with fig trees and they are something I look forward to every year! I moved into our home this last year, and we no longer have access to fresh figs :-(
It will be years before a tree starts producing, and I have such fig envy as I see trees in the neighborhood. Sadder than not having our own tree is seeing figs in the neighborhood that go to waste. I know that some people have too many figs (or don’t like figs at all)….if that is you I can definitely take some off of your hands ;-) We will pay it forward once we have large crops, and I would be happy to trade jam and preserves in the meantime.
