    Job Summary:

Most walkers work an equivalent of 20-30 hours a week, but you can take on as many or as few service requests or clients as you choose. • Experience communicating with others via Slack
    ‌
    Benefits and Perks:

‘Close To Home has been an amazing place for me after leaving a high-stress job. Anyone else out there having trouble accessing the Bartell (Pharmacy) website?

For 2 days now, I’ve been trying to log in to my pharmacy account, to the Rx dashboard, and trying to cancel a COVID vaccination appointment. I get the spinning wheel or an error message.

Very frustrating and inefficient (having to interupt already too busy workers with phone calls when on-line would avoid this).

Did you see this thread? — https://westseattleblog.com/2024/04/biznote-return-of-pegasus-pizza/. Same owners so their integrity will likely be unchanged. They paid their back rent and as a result were able to reestablish in their new location. I personally know former employees who would never work for them again. The comments in the WSB are illuminating, and reviews for their new location are quite mixed. I used to love their Tom’s Special but after hearing that they gave their employees checks that bounced I stopped going.

As an alternative I’ve become a major fan of Antico Soprano’s Pizza and Pasta, across from the Admiral Theater (https://www.anticosopranos.com/). Their pizzas are consistently excellent. Delivery charge is only $5. It’s become a weekly indulgence. Highly recommend.

I have 2 very long pothos plants that my cats want to eat so unfortunately I am going to get rid of them. Free to a good home! I also have a smaller pothos plant and another plant that was just called “houseplant” when I bought it at home depot a few years ago.

All are free. Here is a link to pictures of the plants.

We miss Pegasus but hesitate to return until we have assurance that they have done right by their previous employees. The last post about Pegasus Pizza returning in the Junction was full of stuff about that didn’t answer this one question, and I’m not finding it anywhere.

Pegasus had _our_ favorite pizza. I know that everybody has their personal favorite pizza and their own opinions, including missing Lee’s Asian. *This question is not about any of that.* We want to go back and simply won’t until we have assurance that they corrected their past practices. That’s all I’m looking for here.

Does anybody know if the previously unpaid employees were made whole? We’re willing to return in that case. We’re not into permanently canceling anybody for screwing up in the past, short of grievous bodily harm. I’m interested in factual evidence of the status of complaints against Pegasus Pizza for non-payment of employees.

    Many thanks!

Looking for someone who loves to run and loves to talk about running. You don’t need anything but a passion for the sport, we will teach you everything else. A retail background would be great, but it isn’t necessary. Your job will be to sell shoes and apparel, stock shelves, keep the store clean, and help customers find the right product. Be able to start and hold a conversation, as that is basic skill for sales. Shy, wall flower types will probably not like the atmosphere, as we are a talkative, engaging group that likes customer interactions.
We are looking for someone to work Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and maybe one other day if you want it. Pay starts at $20.00 but is negotiable based on experience. We also offer bonuses based on store sales. PTO accumulation starts the day you start. We also have an employee discount, and a separate family discount. Free race entries for all races we sponsor, and it’s a pretty cool atmosphere to work in, as most customers are happy to be here.

Please drop off a resume in person at the store. We do not respond to emailed resumes unless we have directed you to send it.

If you have questions, please drop in and ask them.

Just had an unpleasant encounter with a young man at the door. I said I wasn’t interested and tried to hand back his material. He wouldn’t take it so I set it on the chair outside the door. He snatched it and shouted obscenities as he walked away. I went on my deck to see him knock at the neighbors and he yelled at me. (Neighbors not home. Fauntleroy near ferry dock.) Just a warning. Tall, blond.
