We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and assist our patients and other visitors. Your primary job duties will include greeting and checking in patients, answering questions, collecting patient payments, processing paperwork, fielding phone calls and messages, and scheduling appointments. You will also help keep our records and work areas clean and organized, as well as ensure our office provides a welcoming environment for our patients.
Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
-Greet patients and other visitors when they arrive
-Field phone calls, patient messages, and emails
-Schedule patients
-Distribute and follow up on appropriate paperwork
-Enter and update insurance information
-Collect co-pays and other payments
-Process incoming and outgoing faxes

Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
-Customer service experience (required)
-1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role (preferred but not required)
-Familiar with medical terminology and interest in natural medicine (preferred, but not required)
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-MUST BE VACCINATED FOR COVID-19
Starting:

Job Summary
*This is an on-site position
Provides instruction for Yoga classes with YMCA members.
Hiring Range: $24/hour – $26.40/hour DOE
*Full Salary Range: $24/hour – $34.80/hour. Information provided in compliance with the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act.
*Pay is dependent upon relative experience, as determined by the Y.
Responsibilities
Plans and instructs Yoga classes or programs. Observes and discusses individual progress with participants.
Develops positive relationships with participants and facilitates relationship building among participants and members. Provides motivational support and guidance.
Increases participant awareness of all healthy lifestyle factors.
Encourages member and parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
Attends staff meetings and approved trainings as required.
Sets up and takes down class equipment. Reports equipment problems.
Ensures safe and effective classes. Responds to, and reports, accidents and incidents.
Tracks, monitors, evaluates and transitions assigned Total Health participants providing motivational support and counseling.
Accurately maintains related records.
Leads ongoing YMCA Total Health classes or programs in a specialized area.Qualifications
Yoga Certification
High school education or equivalent preferred. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
Two or more years experience teaching or practicing in specialized area and certification.
Ability to lead a class or provide individual service.
Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
Ability to motivate and educate members.
Ability to set up, move and store equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:Current state approved first aid certification.*
Current state approved CPR certification.*
Knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
