A reader at the beach right now sent this:

“I’m sitting here at Alki Beach and my husband dropped my engagement ring in the sand and we can’t find it. Any chance you could put out a post asking if any folks with metal detectors were planning on heading to the beach today and might be able to help me out? The diamond is from the ring my grandfather gave my grandmother.”

Can you help? 206-412-8030 – here’s a pic of the ring:

Seattle Vet Specialists, that’s where I take my 3 dogs and let me tell you they should have patient reward cards by now lol. They’ve taken care of mine for the past 7 years, never closed. Saved one of my Dachshunds from Xylitol poison, was there 3 nights and had updates several times a day. My pets have had a colonoscopy, labs, ultrasounds my other Dachshund was diagnosed with Pancreatitis last year after 2 ER visits and hasn’t been sick since (knock on wood). Yes they are pricey, they have specialist but have financial resources. I have pet insurance and they’ve covered everything so far. They’ve also never pushed a procedure not necessary, That’s my recommendation, sorry long reply.

Twice in the last two days I have been visited by a door-to-door sales person from Ecoshield Pest Solutions. First time I got the standard, “We’re on your street tomorrow, I have a real deal for you because we’ll be here anyway” that type of thing. I sent him away as I BS’d him with the “need to talk to my better half” thing and he promised he’d come back later. I immediately hopped on my favorite search engine and the reviews are amazing. Complaints about the high pressure sales, about the “we’ll be in your area” lies, about the dodgy service (like spraying one side of your house for 5 minutes) and how you get scammed into a year contract that’s impossible to get out of. Can I also mention the number of closed franchises around the country, the fact that they changed their name a while ago? Don’t forget to read about the lawsuits!

Honestly, I would recommend that you go to a trusted veterinarian or veterinary assistant who is a real expert. Because there are very few good specialists nowadays. As far as I am concerned, a good specialist has finished https://www.happyhealthydogblog.com/vet-assistant/.Вообще, veterinary assistants play a vital role when the day-to-day operations of a veterinary hospital are in question and ensure its smooth running. And most importantly, Animal Care is not the only service they provide. That’s why I would like you to find a true professional

I posted with no other intention other than giving people useful information. My friend and I (both healthcare workers) were conversating over the topic of delivery services. Sunday being her day off was spent being frustrated driving in horrible traffic from Cap Hill to South Center. She placed an online order from a pet store thinking it was going to be an easy an get in get out process. What she learned was that she could have avoided all that traffic both ways, not dealt with employees just by paying a delivery service to pick up her order. She uses one service for grocery but wasn’t aware a different service offers pick up to that pet store. We all learn from everyone or should be willing to try. For some time is money, for her that time was spent away from her disabled husband. @aa If people aren’t an inconvenience or a threat to you there’s no need to question their advice, we’ve all struggled it’s better to learn from the mistakes of others.

P.s. She had a fan delivered that evening from a local store.
