I highly, highly recommend Dr. Seepersad at Swanson & Seepersad Chiropractic on California. I’ve been going there for almost 10 years and now my teen daughters go there too. Dr Seepersad is amazing. She listens and doesn’t rush you through. Can’t praise her work enough.

https://www.fredhutch.org/en/research/institutes-networks-ircs/hutchinson-institute-for-cancer-outcomes-research/reports.html has helpful information as you are trying to decide where to go.

I found getting diagnostic imaging took many months when it was with an outside referral. If you’re worried about cancer but don’t have a diagnosis i would encourage you to go back to any care provider who could get you in to be screened as soon as possible, or maybe the ER.

Fred hutch and UW are not in all health care plans so you might see if they are in your covered network before going there. As a heads up Fred hutch will bill as an outpatient procedure for office visits so the expenses may bill differently than you expect.

Of the various options around here, I’ve heard good things about Fred hutch, Virginia Mason, and swedish.

I’m a stay-at-home-mom with a 2yo daughter seeking part-time work in West Seattle. I have nannied for a family since my daughter and their daughter was about 9 months old, but due to financial struggles, I am looking for work again. I’m available to work full days Mondays thru Wednesdays and afternoons on Thursdays and Fridays; my daughter attends co-op preschool Th/Fri mornings. I’m open to being a nanny, family helper, household assistant, and/or pet sitter; all positions in which my daughter will be with me. She can be a wonderful playmate. My home in the High Point neighborhood is an option (but not required), if you’re looking for peace and quiet at your home. As a nanny, my hourly rate for 1 child (excluding my own) is $25/hr. You can find me on Care.com. I am happy to meet in-person to chat or answer any questions, if you’d like. Thank you for considering me.

I found mail strewn in front of my house this morning. It’s wet and it’s been run over a few times, but it’s still intact. It’s all for residents of a building on 60th Ave SW. If you live there, and your name is Ashley, Mya, Kiana, Jose, Brandi, Kyle, or Molly, I have some of your mail. For Ashley, Mya, Brandi, and Molly, it’s junk mail, but Kiana, Jose, and Kyle have at least one bill or bank statement in the pile.

If you or a neighbor has a ring doorbell, congrats, you are now being scanned into a database and all your movements are being tracked by the company “flock safety” that added ai to ring doorbells. but not just you, every car thar drives by. And everybody on foot will also be scanned into the nationwide ai database, stripping away your rights to privacy, more and more, the longer the ring doorbell stays up. It can recognize patterns in when you come and go from your home and loads of other privacy invasive tactics. Do you want this in your neighborhood? Spread awareness about this to your friends, family and others. Copy this message or screenshot it to send to other groups, chats etc. Fight for your freedom to walk outside without surveilance

That’s definitely concerning if those issues actually happened, but the salsa night itself is more about the community than the business. A lot of people just go to enjoy the music, connect, and support local dancers.

Hopefully the organizers make sure everything behind the scenes is handled properly, because events like this really do bring people together.

Hello neighbors! A bright red mountain bike was stolen from our garage this morning between approximately 6:45 AM and 7:15 AM.
If you live on or near 30th Ave SW and have any video or photo footage from that time frame, could you please take a quick look for anyone driving off with a bike or riding/walking a bike? We’re on a steep hill, so the person may have either sped downhill or been walking it uphill.
Any information or footage you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!

Oof this is a tough one. Before you mentioned the seasonal aspect, i was going to mention the pea patch library readings in the summer on Delridge.

When my kiddo was closer to your kiddo’s age, I searched for swim lessons because that is an important safety skill and tires them out. I found a woman giving affordable lessons at the Evergreen pool in Burien.

We usually also shared a meal once a week with another parent of a young child because it was easier to parent two kids together than one alone. We’d alternate houses and make pasta usually.

The gym that ended up working for that stage was the Y (in the junction). My kid LOVES the kid zone and the hours are consistent. He’s still excited to go.

Hi tinamarie8892; following up on your post about the Chromebook I described. I did not pick it up and do not have it. I described it as found on ground on the SE corner of 39th Avenue SW and SW Southern on 9/12/25. You could go to that location to see if it might still be there.

Our furnace died unexpectedly two weeks ago, and we called Greenwood in a bit of a panic. They were great. Techs arrived the day we called; because we were “no heat” clients, we were bumped to the top of the list for services. Within hours, they had provided four space heaters to get us through the weekend, and on Monday a crew arrived to install a new heat pump. By Tuesday, the process was complete. The techs were not only very professional, they were friendly and very courteous. Five stars plus to Greenwood.

I’m looking for someone with (micro) soldering skills who might be able to remove a broken part from a small PCB (from a vintage iPod) and solder on a replacement part (which I have). I’ve inquired at a few local electronics repair places but their quotes exceed the cost of a new circuit board. But I’d hate to let this fairly rare, out of production board go to waste though I simply don’t have the equipment or skills to make the repair. So I just thought I’d throw this up here as I know that West Seattle is chock full of skilled people. Thanks in advance.
