Flying Apron Bakery & Cafe — West Seattle Junction (Seattle), WAWHO WE ARE
The Flying Apron. We’re a certified gluten-free & plant-based bakery with three locations, Fremont, West Seattle & Redmond with a thriving Wholesale operation. We’re an Artisan Eatery, with a commitment to amazing food that everyone can eat!MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHO YOU ARE
You have the ability to engage customer’s with your eyes, reel them in with your smile, and have a sincere interest in conversing with them about their day. You can entice someone to try our delicious gluten-free & plant-based goods with a delicious and skillfully prepared cup of locally-roasted Seven coffee; you smoothly encourage people to go beyond their safety zone, to try something new, to explore the amazing and varied items our eatery offers. You really care about your customer’s day starting off right and supporting them through that afternoon workday lull. You know how to promote new products and enjoy the challenge of up-selling, and have an interest in trying things yourself so you’re prepared to offer up suggestions when asked.
More importantly, you care about product quality and presentation. You won’t tolerate a broken cookie out on display — you’ll sample it instead to get people interested. You’re constantly straightening, cleaning, organizing — you can’t help but stock and re-stock when you find yourself idle — and being idle, drives you crazy. If you feel like we’re describing you, send us your resume and a few thoughts as to why we should consider you.

Did the Brownie Troop have their event last Friday? The weather was awful and then our power went out, so I didn’t make it there…but I did make a donation to the West Seattle Food Bank to honor them(quite an easy process on the WSFB website) and if anyone else feels the same(supportive with a side bit of guilt!) I’d encourage them to do the same. couldn’t find any way to contact the troop so I hope when they make their donation to the food bank, my contribution gets added in to their efforts…you go girls!!
