Sky – I am a Maybe listed on the Burien Round Table Pizza get together. I think you will find everything you listed above. Some more reasonable than others but people actually thinking they are fed up with many of our elected officials. I will put up a quick note if I am going. Most likely I will have to record it. If neither of us can go, let’s chat about it and everyone can weigh in.

I may not be smarter than my liberal friends, just better!!!! I kid, I kid. I have said it before. Any time I get too high on my horse, I get bucked off.

Shadowpilot. I would agree to that type of discussion. What I am not good at doing is a face to face debate. I will at times let stronger personalities lead. I prefer to take a lot of it in, look at various sources of history or on the net and then try to make an informed decision. I am very agreeable in person. There is so much more to learn and know. Rarely do I come to a conclusion out of the blue because just shooting from the hip makes me miss.

This financial crisis has been enlightening. I wish it wasn’t so but we will learn from it. It would be easy for me to just go to the Heritage Foundation website and just look at the Conservative point of view, but that is just one view. I appreciated the input from others and their links.

We argue like cats and dogs but most of us just want to be relatively free from the worries of life. We have our own pursuits but when times get tough we buckle down and hope we and others will make it through to better times.

I am fairly comfortable in my views as a conservative but everyone should be challenged in their views (within reason). I have looked into the beginnings of each party. I have seen changes. I find it ironic that basically from the beginning of the last century the government has always expanded. Rarely does it contract. I wonder where it is going? Our best hope is that people are involved and reasonably educated. We can differ and we can come together. We should not agree on everything. Some have to win, some lose, sometimes many win and sometimes many lose.

We will see what happens.
