That makes more sense — and I really empathize and sympathize with the violation.
Last summer someone stole my backpack from my unlocked (in the carport car. I sent email to the two people in the neighborhood whoseo email addresses I have and a very sweet man, out walking his dog, found my pack in a hedge on the corner.
It had drafts of all my work at home work; nothing interesting or sellable, but I would have been very screwed without it.
I think in a city people walk a fine line between meddline and useful civic involvement. Frankly, I don’t like the small town “everyone is in everyone’s business” atmosphere — but I do like knowing attention is being paid.
Good luck getting your stuff back; I suspect there are known pawn shops where people sell hot stuff and if you want help calling them, email me and I’ll get on the phone tomorrow. :-)
